Aldi Introduces Tablet

\"AldDiscount grocer Aldi is the latest retailer to leap into the crowded budget tablet market with its new $99.99 Medion Lifetab Android tablet.

On sale from today, the Medion Lifetab E7316 faces stiff competition from other 7in tablets, including Google’s Nexus 7, Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Tesco’s Private Brand Hudl.

Available black, the Aldi tablet has full access to the Google Play store and can run any of the 850,000 standard Android apps.

Customers can enjoy apps, movies, games, music and the Web on the tablet. With variety pre-installed apps like email, calendar and more features include:

  • Dual-core processor (1.4 GHz)
  • Android™ 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • Bluetooth 2.1 function
  • Wi-Fi
  • Preinstalled apps including Documents to Go, Kaspersky Tablet Security (30 days trial) and many more
  • 8 GB internal memory (expandable up to 64 GB with memory card)
  • Front and rear facing camera (0.3 MP front and 2.0 MP rear)
