On Thursday, May 11 from12:00 – 1:00 pm CST Women Impacting Storebrand Excellence (WISE) will present the FREE Webinar “Creating a Kindness Culture in the Workplace”. Gabriella van Rij: Speaker, Author & Activist for Kindness will discuss:
In our current fast-paced environment, where every mistake we make is amplified through social media and thus blown out of context, we now communicate in a way that has become unfiltered, uncensored, and unacceptable. Through funny analogies and stories, Gabriella van Rij discusses how kindness – in our communication and behavior – plays an important role in creating a robust and emotionally safe workplace for everyone.
Gabriella famously says, “Nobody strikes another coming from a positive place. But all it takes to help another go from a negative space to a positive place is that one moment, one kindness to BE the difference!”
In this webinar, you will learn:
- The role kindness plays in creating a community and work environment where all feel safe and accepted by others.
- Hindrances to kindness in the workplace.
- What kindness looks like in the workplace, practical applications.
- Empathy and learning to shift your perception to see the other’s perspective.
- How making it about them, not about you, will help you be a better communicator.

PLMA’s annual “World of Private Label” International Trade Show is organized by the Private Label Manufacturers Association which represents more than 4000 member manufacturers around the globe. With offices in Amsterdam and New York, PLMA is the largest association of its kind, devoted exclusively to the promotion of private label.
For thirty years, PLMA’s “World of Private Label” International Trade Show has brought retailers, wholesalers and other private label professionals together with manufacturers to help them find new products, make new contacts, and discover new ideas that will help their private label programs succeed and grow. The expanding popularity of private label has meanwhile led to unprecedented market share worldwide. Record high market shares have been recorded in more than a dozen countries, and private label now accounts for 40% of all products sold in six European countries.
Walking the aisles of the “World of Private Label” International Trade Show, examining the displays of exhibitors, will be thousands of buyers from all over the world: supermarkets, hypermarkets, discounters, drugstores, department stores, and importers and exporters. They come looking for products ranging from low-cost alternatives to innovative premium lines, from food and household products to health and beauty. Concentrated into two days, the “World of Private Label” International Trade Show is the most efficient and productive way to source for a company’s private label needs.
