Ikea in Hong Kong and Pizza Hut have cooperated on a new private brand flatpack table designed to mimic the plastic pizza box separator and a complimentary pizza that features Ikea private brand meatballs. Call it innovation or marketing stunt the move shows Ikeas playful willingness to disrupt with private brand.

The SÄVA table and meatball pizza are available in Hong Kong for a limited time.

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards.
