To celebrate World Pasta Day (October 25th), Waitrose & Partners introduced a selection of delicious new pasta dishes to its premium private brand Waitrose No.1 range.
For those looking to add some restaurant flair to their home-cooked meals, the three new pasta kits offer the best ingredients, with authentic pasta from Puglia, the ‘heel’ of Italy, a place renowned for its spectacular pasta due to its perfect growing conditions. The wheat is produced with a high protein and gluten content that gives a firm bite to the pasta. It’s also mixed with fine 00 flour and free-range eggs which produces fine, silky pasta with a beautiful golden color.
- Waitrose & Partners No.1 Shin of Beef & Chianti Tortellini with a serving of sage butter and aged Parmigiano Reggiano – £7.50 (295g). Silky, fresh pasta filled with tender shin of beef, slow-cooked with a generous splash of Chianti, carrots, rich beef stock, shallots, and leeks. All served with sage butter and grated Parmigiano Reggiano.
- Waitrose & Partners No.1 Mushroom Ravioli with a serving of truffle butter and pecorino Romano – £7.50 (295g). Delicious, golden pasta filled with Portobello and porcini mushrooms cooked with white wine and cream, served with black truffle and porcini butter and grated pecorino cheese.
- Waitrose & Partners No.1 ’Nduja & Burrata Ravioli with a serving of Pomodoro sauce and pangrattato – £7.50 (295g). Tasty pasta with a bite, filled with spicy ’Nduja and creamy burrata. Served with a Pomodoro sauce made with roasted tomatoes and olive oil. Finished with a crunchy pangrattato.
