Boxed Founder & CEO Chieh Huang to Keynote PLMA

PLMA announced that Chieh Huang, co-founder and CEO of Boxed, will deliver the keynote for the opening breakfast at PLMA’s 2019 Private Label Trade Show on Monday, November 18.

The PLMA keynote has a long tradition of presenting a top industry executive to draw attention to the strategic role that store brands play across all retail channels and formats. Recent keynoters at PLMA have included Whole Foods’ founder John Mackey, Trader Joe’s president Doug Rauch, Kings & Balducci’s CEO Judith Spires, and Fred Morganthall of Kroger/Harris Teeter, among others

Cheih Huang launched in 2013 as a mobile and online warehouse club experience. The company has seen remarkable growth. Boxed currently delivers to anywhere in the Continental US and has recently been valued between $600 million and $1 billion.

PLMA also announced that Ali Dibadj, a partner at AllianceBernstein global asset management company, will be their featured speaker for the Retail Trends Breakfast on Tuesday, November 19. The speech will focus on How Retailers Are Building Billion Dollar Brands and what that means for retailing and consumer brands strategies.

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement.
