SPAR UK Have Tea-rrific Time Supporting Charity

In June, SPAR stores in the UK helped raise funds for charity partner, Marie Curie’s summer campaign, the Blooming Great Tea Party. Stores across the UK made donations when specific private brand teas were purchased.

The money raised will go towards providing vital care and support for people living with a terminal illness and their families. It will also help fund research and ensure that Marie Curie’s information line is there for anyone affected by a terminal illness.

Laura McNally, SPAR Marketing Controller, said: “We are really proud that our retailers helped to raise vital funds this summer while giving shoppers some tasty teatime treats and a ton of fun in the process!

“By holding their own tea parties, our SPAR stores helped Marie Curie reach even more people living with a terminal illness and their families.

“The money SPAR stores raised at their Blooming Great Tea Parties will also help fund the vital research Marie Curie does, and help provide hands-on nursing care to more people at the end of their lives,” she said.
