What you’ll do…
Leads execution of new format packaging approvals for existing proprietary brands to ensure positive customer experiences and cross-brand consistency by identifying issues with existing packaging templates; approving new formats within an existing branded architecture; and serving as a subject matter expert to advise merchants and Product Development on cost-effective packaging types for new or changing items which optimize customer experience.
Leverages assets of proprietary brand collateral across Home Division initiatives to drive quality multi-channel customer experience by ensuring consistent product information (for example, names, photography, features and benefits) at the item level; facilitating the transfer of assets and information to the walmart.com item setup team when necessary; identifying and recommending asset needs (for example, specific file types, information parameters, timing) to Visual Merchandising teams; following up with stakeholders to ensure the seamless sharing and utilization of assets; benchmarking competitors to identify best-in-class, multi-channel shopping experiences; and providing recommendations to walmart.com for enhancing customer experiences at the item level for proprietary brands.
Manages emerging packaging initiatives to communicate strategic messages to the customer by prioritizing strategic corporate messaging into the packaging communication hierarchy; mobilizing cross-functional teams (for example, merchants, Product Development, Packaging) to incorporate new messaging into new and existing product packaging; developing and communicating clear and compelling execution plans which optimize business continuity and supplier production efficiency; and compiling and sharing best practices and lessons learned across business units where applicable.
Manages the total proprietary brand assortment, provides various metrics of assortment scope to influence the content of customer experience at all customer touch points. Ensures consistency in experience across private brands by developing and conducting market assessments, utilizing and analyzing market data to influence merchant strategies, maintaining all items to support the established brand position, and providing guidance and feedback to the merchant and product development team through established calendar milestones.
