In early January, Bed Bath & Beyond, CEO Steven Temares announced in the retailers Q3 2018 earnings their plans to launch 6 new private brands in 2019 and 2020. According to Temares brands will feature products from categories.
The first of the six new private brands is now live online and will soon appear on shelves. The new brand Bee & Willow Home features a modern farmhouse aesthetic and encompasses bedding, bath, window, furniture, home décor, rugs, tabletop, lighting, storage and cleaning implements. The brand will debut in stores in March.
Temares also said that the retailer will reduce the number of national brand SKUs it carries, “taking out thousands” from stores and online “if we can’t get them to the right model for us.”
