I am excited to announce the next presentation for the 2019 edition of the Velocity Conference. This year’s event will be held April 29 – May 1, 2019, at the Le Méridien Charlotte in Charlotte, NC.

Meg Pryde who is the Founder & CEO of Brandefy, a digital platform that compares private brands to name brands to save shoppers time & money. Under Meg’s leadership, Brandefy was recently accepted into one of the nation’s top startup accelerators, and the mobile app topped 18,000 downloads. Meg earned her MBA from University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where she was named a Genovese Fellow.

Pryde’s career started in Category Management at private brand manufacturer Perrigo, where she worked in the Nutritionals Division. Meg developed her love for technology at the tech startup, GoHappy. When not working on her startup, Meg indulges in her longtime passion for polo, which she honed as a member of the University of Virginia team in her undergrad days.

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan). Durham has published five definitive books on private brands, including his first book, Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project. In 2017, he will debut his newest book, Vanguard: Vintage Originals, a visual tour of innovation and disruption in private brand going back to the mid-1800’s. Dynamic in his presentation while down to earth and frank in his opinions, he has presented at numerous conferences, including FUSE, The Dieline Conference, Packaging that Sells, Omnishopper and PLMA’a annual trade show in Chicago.
