Northeaster grocer ShopRite is inviting customers on a culinary journey across the globe as it announces the debut of its latest private brand, ShopRite Trading Company. The new brand consists of premium, artisanal foods inspired by a variety of world cuisines. The line includes both imported and domestically sourced foods and is available exclusively at all of the more than 270 ShopRite stores located in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Described by the retailer as a mix of “inspirational, artisanal and distinctive” goods, the new line’s foods and flavors are imported from Italy, Ecuador, Spain, and Greece. Additionally, other ShopRite Trading Company products are inspired by Asian, Indian, Greek, and Latin cuisines.

“We sent our ShopRite experts around the world in search of the very best ingredients and finest products,” said ShopRite Spokeswoman Karen Meleta. “The ShopRite Trading Company brand captures those culinary adventures with authentic products and recipes that bring the best of the world’s cuisines right to your home.”

The new line can be found in nearly every aisle, including frozen and dairy, and at the same low prices ShopRite customers expect. Nearly 40 ShopRite Trading Company products are in store now and new items are being added to the line each month.

“ShopRite Trading Company products have exceptional flavors that reflect the extraordinary places where those foods are sourced,” added Meleta. “Customers will find premium, imported products including Arugula Wood-Fired Crust Pizza and specialty desserts like Cranberry Panettone and Pandoro from Italy, Marinated Artichoke Hearts from Peru, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Greece.”

As part of the launch, certain products that were previously marketed under the ShopRite Imported, ShopRite Special Edition and Siempre Autentico private brands will also be converted to ShopRite Trading Company. In-store signage and shelf tags will inform shoppers about the new brand.
