Fruit & Nuts – A Winning Pair at Trader Joe’s

There’s just something about the combination of crunchy, savory nuts and sweet, chewy fruit that makes for a simple, but a blissfully satiating snack. Which is why Trader Joe’s was elated to introduce private brand Date & Nut Bites.

Savory, crunchy cashews and sweet, chewy dried apricots and dates form the base of the Cashew Apricot Date & Nut Bites. Dates, dried blueberries, peanut paste, and ground almonds form the base of the Blueberry Almond Peanut Date & Nut Bites, while the addition of chia and sunflower seeds gives added crunch. Both flavors get a tropical boost from dried coconut and orange zest to round out their nutty, fruity profiles.

Made in small batches in a gluten-free facility in New Zealand, each individually wrapped Date & Nut Bite weighs about half an ounce. They’re perfect for midday snacking, and just sweet enough to enjoy after a meal as a dessert alternative. And customers get three grams of protein per two-Bite serving!

The retailer is selling 5.3-ounce bags of Trader Joe’s Date & Nut Bites (Cashew Apricot or Blueberry Almond Peanut) for $3.99.
