7-Eleven Debuts Hispanic Pastries

private label, private brand7-Eleven announced earlier this month the launch of a new private brand line of Hispanic packaged bakery products. The traditional Mexican sweet breads will be offered in the chains 640 stores in Texas. The retailer says they have been extensively tested in Mexico for flavor, texture, aroma and appearance. Flavors include:

Mantecada: Sweet bread with a soft and fluffy texture and vanilla coating

Panque con Nuez: Sliced pound cake with chopped pecan topping

Panquecitos: Golden, soft and sweet vanilla mini loaf cakes

Roles de Canela: Cinnamon rolls with raisins
