Giant Eagle’s Adam Golomb To Present At Velocity

My Private Brand is proud to announce that Adam Golomb: Director of Own Brands & Sourcing, GIANT EAGLE  will present at Velocity: The My Private Brand Conference, September 13-15, 2017 at the Omni Hotel in Charlotte, NC. He will join more than a dozen retail executives from leading retailers in the country as well as challengers and thought leaders focused on pushing the industry forward.

As the Director of Own Brands & Sourcing for Giant Eagle, Adam is responsible for leading the overall development and execution of Giant Eagle’s private brand portfolio including product development, brand management, package design, and sourcing.

Most recently Adam was in various marketing roles with Giant Eagle.  Prior to joining Giant Eagle, Adam worked as Director of Marketing for Eat’n Park Hospitality Group and as a founder and Vice-President, Marketing for the Internet start-up Cookbookconnection.com and Ballbooks.com.

He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University and a Master’s Degree from Pennsylvania State University.

Adam has guest lectured on marketing & brand strategy at numerous industry conferences.  He has been named Who’s Who in Shopper Marketing by Shopper Marketing magazine and American Marketing Association Retail Marketing of the Year.

He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife Dana, a Psychologist, and their daughters.

Christopher Durham
Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan). Durham has published five definitive books on private brands, including his first book, Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project. In 2017, he will debut his newest book, Vanguard: Vintage Originals, a visual tour of innovation and disruption in private brand going back to the mid-1800’s. Dynamic in his presentation while down to earth and frank in his opinions, he has presented at numerous conferences, including FUSE, The Dieline Conference, Packaging that Sells, Omnishopper and PLMA’a annual trade show in Chicago. Durham lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Laraine, and two daughters, Olivia and Sarah.
