Job Description

Do you have a passion for customers, brands and products and want to build something new? – If yes, we need somebody with your enthusiasm and skills in our Consumables Private Brands business. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, creative and analytical brand marketer to own several brands in our portfolio. Working closely with our Category Managers/Product Development, Customer Insights, and Design, this position will lead our different brands global identity definition, define style guides, develop/qualify product positioning, and oversee the development of creative assets such as packaging and online content.

This role requires an individual with a passion for brands and customers, and a willingness to move fast & experiment often. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced start-up environment. The ideal candidate will have previous marketing experience, CPG brand management background, or experience in the retail private brand environment. He or she will know how to define a brand strategy, positioning and execution priorities; and will be comfortable thinking big and diving deep. As a brand builder, this person should be as comfortable with the marketing science and art, and be sharp enough to know how to use one to inform the other.

The Senior Brand Managers’ primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and owning the brand strategy, positioning and visual identity for existing and new private brands. Lead the establishment of a well-defined global brand identity, striking an informed balance between consistency and flexibility.
  • Developing and qualifying products within your brands.
  • Developing packaging design and online content with key Design and agency partners.
  • Oversee design agency relationships, budgets and work prioritization.
  • Be the primary stakeholder for all creative assets developed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-8 years of relevant Brand Management experience including retail private brand or CPG.
  • Demonstrated experience using hard data and metrics to measure performance and make adjustments accordingly
  • Experience communicating and presenting to senior management
  • Able to thrive in an ambiguous environment helping bring structure and delivering results.
  • Outstanding writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data
  • The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data
  • Experience with brand management, product development or product marketing
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects across category or other departments
  • The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills
  • Experience working with creative agencies
