Peter Brennan Former Daymon President Dies

Private Brand pioneer Peter Brennan passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the age of 69. Brennan was born November 25, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan to Thomas and Patricia Brennan. He graduated from Brother Rice High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and later from Michigan State University. He married Andrea Toepp Brennan in the fall of 1968 who was by his side when he passed away.

In 1973, Peter joined Daymon Worldwide in Cleveland, Ohio. He relocated throughout his career until he later joined Daymon’s New York City team and settled in Greenwich, CT. Peter served as the President and Officer of Daymon Worldwide, Inc., from 1994 to 2006. He retired in 2008.

He was active in a number of professional organizations including the Agribusiness program at Harvard Business School and a member of the Private and Public Scientific Academic and Consumer Food Policy Group (PAPSAC).

He was an avid skier and runner and loved to travel; he has visited all 50 States and traveled to six continents. He spent most of his weekends working out and reading and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Peter is survived by his three daughters and son-in-law’s Molly Brennan and Mark Dufau of Ventura, California; Lindsay Brennan Losey and Anthony Losey of Fairfax, Virginia; and Krista Brennan and Christopher Myhro of Greenwich, Connecticut; and four grandchildren; his brother John Brennan of Riverview, Michigan and his sister, Fran Brennan of Chelsea, Michigan and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Patricia Brennan and his brother, Patrick Brennan.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, February 9, between 4 and 8 p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home located at 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, Connecticut 06830. A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 10, at St. Catherine of Siena Church located at 4 Riverside Avenue, Riverside, Connecticut 06878.
