The responsibility of the Product Manager is to manage the commercialization process for the Berkley & Jensen and/or Wellesley Farms brand. They will ensure that every product lives up to the overarching mission of the brand, through the management of the analytics and design teams.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the Design Teams (internal and external) to ensure brand consistency and speed to shelf
  • Plan, develop and execute a program to ensure timely transition of Own Brands items
  • Manage the Own Brands Analyst and Own Brands Associate to support the Merchandising GMM’s and Buyers in meeting company goals
  • Create reporting tools for AVP Own Brands and Quality to report current status to Senior Management


  • Bachelors degree
  • 5+ years in Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail or Food Manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) and its foundational role
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration with sales, merchandising and other key departments
  • Proven curiosity and determination to dig deeply into categories that are not data-rich
  • Process oriented preferred


 BJ’s Wholesale – Own Brands Analyst

Manages day to day analytic functions of Own Brands with a heavy emphasis on analysis and strategic input and support. Responsible for program analytics around Own Brands performance and marketing.

  • Provide scheduled updates on key metrics for Own Brands performance. Including – sales, margin dollars, margin rate, share, new members (overall and by category), repeat purchases, etc.
  • Provide analysis and insights in conjunction with Marketing and Club Events on effectiveness of Own Brands promotions. Including BBM, WOW walls, Demos, etc. Provide post event analysis as needed.
  • Manage the process for reporting on new and discontinued items. Updating field and home office personnel on introduction of new items and discontinuation of existing items. Analyze data on New Items to determine trends.
  • Coordinate with Nielsen and Membership analytics as needed to provide insight on Own Brands performance against competition.
  • Maintain existing and develop new metrics to support growing business.


  • Bachelors in Business or related field
  • 3+ years of Analyst experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
