Meijer Private Brand Wins 7 GDUSA awards

Grand Rapids, Michigan-based retailer has been recognized by trade magazine Graphic Design USA, winning seven GDUSA 2015 awards for outstanding package design. The designs created by Coho Creative are the result of collaborative efforts, over the last year, with Meijer’s Packaging & Brand Graphics team.

The designs take a different tact than traditional private label. They do not simply mimic the national brands on shelf, or create a uniform monolithic look, devoid of brand character and category relevance. They instead strive for the sweet spot between providing the category communication the shopper expects and needs, while also creating something unique that catches their eyes, minds, and hearts.
