New York City based Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA), has announced the preliminary details of its 2014 Private Label Trade Show will be themed “Store Brands Reality Trade Show” it will be held November 16-18 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
The show will feature more than 2,400 exhibit booths, over 5,000 buyers and visitors, nearly 20,000 different products – from food, snacks and beverages to health and beauty, kitchen, household and GM- all store brands, all under one roof at one time.
Buyers from every channel, including: supermarkets, supercenters, drug chains, mass merchandisers, convenience stores, online retailers, importers, exporters, wholesalers, discounters, and even military exchanges, all will be on hand to find new products and identify new suppliers.
For more than 30 years, PLMA’s annual trade show has been the industry event of the year, where retailers and wholesalers source for their private brand programs. More than 1,200 companies from 35 countries will be exhibiting their products, including 20 international pavilions. Exhibitors range from small and medium-size companies to well-known national brand makers who also supply store brands.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to watch PLMA’s “Jungle Island Survival Test.’ Or, guess who wins when shoppers go head-to-head, up and down the aisles of a typical American supermarket on “Market Basket Savings Contest.” Chefs get into the act too, matching ingredients and cooking styles in “Battle of the Recipes.”
International pavilions from Argentina, Turkey, South Korea, Ecuador, Peru, China, Denmark, Italy, France, Spain, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica will each showcase products from their respective countries. In addition the PLMA’s own World of Private Label pavilion and international exhibitors taking individual spaces will extend global representation at the show to include the Belgium, United Kingdom, Columbia, Chile, Brazil Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Israel, Thailand, India and Australia.
The popular Idea Supermarket, will once again showcase private brand products and packaging from more than 50 leading retailers across North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Meanwhile, the New Product Expo will turn a spotlight on the newest products being offered by exhibitors on the show floor.
Speakers and seminars will include workshops on Sunday afternoon, an opening breakfast on Monday, and the PLMA Live! breakfast on Tuesday, PLMA.
PLMA’s Store Brands Reality Trade Show will be held at the Rosemont Convention Center, only 10 minutes from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Conveniently located within walking distance or short shuttle bus rides from major hotels, the convention center provides exhibitors with an easy-to-reach, efficient venue for trade shows.
