This position will be responsible for a team of Private Label Product Development Managers and R&D food scientists to redesign private label across all categories with a focus on fresh food. This role will be responsible for creating signature items that offer the consumer a reason to stop. This role will communicate the vision and inspire an organization.
- 8-10 years’ experience in Product Development within a Grocery Retail environment. Ideally 3+ years developing perishable / fresh products (prepared foods, bakery, deli, meat)
- Overall responsibility for product development, product validation, health and wellness, organic and natural, supplier relations, costing, and working closely with merchandising and marketing to ensure proper consumer promotion.
- Provide clear direction, support and coaching to internal and external teams.
