Sears Debuts Celebrity Hosted Private Brand Focused Web Series

“America’s favorite bachelor couple,” Sean and Catherine Lowe, who caught the nation’s attention after finding love on a hit reality show, are now enlisting the help of Sears celebrity designer, Ty Pennington, fans from across the country and Sears shoppers to design the patio of the couple’s new home via this web series from the retailer.

“We’ve been in our new house in Dallas a month so it’s pretty empty right now; we’re looking forward to making it a home. While we have similar tastes designing the inside of our home, when it comes to outdoors Catherine and I have different styles and goals,” said Sean Lowe. “I like things to be a bit more “manly” — a place where my guy friends will want to hang out with me and grill steaks. Catherine is looking for something chic and sophisticated — more of a family entertaining space. We can’t wait to see what Ty and the rest of America recommend!”

It’s just as important for entertaining as our indoor living area.”

Christopher Durham

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan).

Durham has published five definitive books on private brands, including his first book, Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project. In 2017, he will debut his newest book, Vanguard: Vintage Originals, a visual tour of innovation and disruption in private brand going back to the mid-1800’s.
Dynamic in his presentation while down to earth and frank in his opinions, he has presented at numerous conferences, including FUSE, The Dieline Conference, Packaging that Sells, Omnishopper and PLMA’a annual trade show in Chicago.
