The Vice President – Exclusive Product and Brand Development is responsible for building and developing all category portfolios of Exclusive products, with strong focus on the Vineyard Partners’ Brand Wines, to establish market differentiation, invigorate current brands, identify high-growth private label wine portfolios, and develop and execute route-to-market strategy from idea to customer’s basket and drive profitable growth. The Vice President will be responsible for the Design and Production of the Exclusive Brand line, including: Product Development, Sourcing, Forecasting MRP, Purchasing and Inbound Logistics. He/She will be required to develop Merchandising and Pricing Strategies utilizing Internal and External Business and Consumer Data to develop Strategic Sales Plans, create Budgets, Sales Targets and Profit Objectives. The Vice President will have full P&L responsibility and work directly with the Merchandising and Marketing Teams to define and execute both short and long-term business objectives. He/She will work to successfully identify consumer/market opportunities, develop compelling products, launch new brands, and develop and execute a robust pipeline of globally-sourced innovative product.
In addition to brand development responsibilities, this position drives the market and customer intelligence for the Wine Team ensuring that the organization has a strong understanding of the marketplace. The Vice President – Exclusive Product Brand Development will uncover and build on consumer research and insights to develop brand positioning, packaging and programs utilizing regular analysis of strategic beverage alcohol information resources (A. C. Nielsen, The Gomberg-Fredrikson Report, Premium Wine & Spirits Scan, Winedata, TradePulse, etc.) as well as mining internal sales, margin and ClubBev! data.
