Japanese retailer Aeon introduced is successful Private Brand TOPVALU in 1994 and it quickly rose to become the leading Private Brand in Japan. The brand and its products are developed in collaboration with consumers and the region’s best suppliers to meet strict quality standards. In an exciting move Aeon is now expanding the distribution of TOPVALU to Malaysia.
The Topvalu brand is traditionally segmented into three tiers focused on filling merchandising needs: including Topvalu Select, Topvalu and Topvalu Bestprice. However the premium tier Topvalu Select, will not be carried in Malaysia.
Topvalu Malaysia was launched by Aeon Topvalu Malaysia managing director Koshi Miyase at 1 Utama Shopping Centre. In conjunction with the launch, Aeon will run the ‘Topvalu. Your Voice. Our Inspiration,” contest until October 4, soliciting ideas for future products from customers. Winning ideas will earn cash prizes.
