MPB Collaborates With Teri Campbell on Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project

Teri CAmpbell 2This week I am happy to official announce that award-winning photographer Teri Campbell of Teri Studios is shooting al of the photography for my upcoming book Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project. Teri is the creative lead at Teri Studios, and Author of “Food Photography & Lighting: a commercial photographers guide to creating irresistible images“.

After attending the Ohio Institute of Photography, Teri began his career as a photographer for P&G’s in-house creative group. In 1988 he opened Teri Studios, a commercial photography studio specializing in food. His passion for food, combined with his artistic and business sensibilities has uniquely positioned him to create appetite-appealing, proprietary imagery for consumer packaged goods companies and restaurants throughout the country. Clients include Oscar Mayer, Bob Evans Restaurants, Wendy’s, SuperValu, Kellogg’s, Hershey’s, and KFC among others.

Teri is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), and the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP). He also sits on the advisory board for Antonelli College.

When not in the studio, Teri is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events like the International Conference on Food Styling & Photography, PDN’s PhotoPlus Expo and the FoodPhoto Festival in Tarragona Spain.

Check out a few behind the scenes photos of Teri at work on the book as well as a few of the early images – Teri is creating a look and feel for the photography in the book that is beyond my expectations and will make readers rethink their traditional boring packaging and product photography.

Christopher Durham

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan).

Durham has published five definitive books on private brands, including his first book, Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project. In 2017, he will debut his newest book, Vanguard: Vintage Originals, a visual tour of innovation and disruption in private brand going back to the mid-1800’s.
Dynamic in his presentation while down to earth and frank in his opinions, he has presented at numerous conferences, including FUSE, The Dieline Conference, Packaging that Sells, Omnishopper and PLMA’a annual trade show in Chicago.

Durham lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Laraine, and two daughters, Olivia and Sarah.
