Weis Launches Customer Created Ice Cream Flavor

Weiss frontEarlier this month Sunbury, Pa based grocer Wies Markets introduced it’s newest Private Brand flavor of ice cream Chocolate Covered Strawberry. The flavor was created by Weis customer Heather Simmons of Muncy, Pa., who won the Weis Markets’ Be the Next Flavor Creator Contest.

Simmons was one of 400 entrants who entered the Facebook contest. The retailer them narrowed the entrants to the top three flavors which also S’mores ice cream and Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel ice cream.

Weis unveiled the new flavor during an ice cream social at Simmon’s home town store in Muncy, Pa. she also won a one year’s supply of Weis Quality Ice Cream.
