“Where Is Private Label Going?” Attend PLMA International

PLMA SPEAKERSI am in the final stages of planning and packing for my trip to Amsterdam next week and my first “World of Private Label” International Trade Show, will be held 28-29 May at the RAI Exhibition Centre. I have attended the US show many times but I am told this show is amazing – so stay tuned for my reports – it should be exciting. I look forward to meeting each of you, please let me know if you would like, to meet or just have a drink

The event is expected to attract more than 9,000 visitors, including many from the world’s largest retailers and wholesalers, coming from over 100 countries. There will be more than 3,800 exhibit stands on the trade show floor, where visitors can see the latest developments in private label offered by more than 2,100 exhibitors from 70 countries.

For attendees who arrive early and whould like to know “Where is private label going?” the PLMA is offering a series of seminars presenting the latest research and information on Private Brand and the customer. On Monday, May 27the between 2:00 – 4:00 pm presentations will be held at the Forumzaal of the RAI Exhibition Centre

Christopher Durham

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan).

Durham has published five definitive books on private brands, including his first book, Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project. In 2017, he will debut his newest book, Vanguard: Vintage Originals, a visual tour of innovation and disruption in private brand going back to the mid-1800’s.
Dynamic in his presentation while down to earth and frank in his opinions, he has presented at numerous conferences, including FUSE, The Dieline Conference, Packaging that Sells, Omnishopper and PLMA’a annual trade show in Chicago.

Durham lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Laraine, and two daughters, Olivia and Sarah.
