Staples Introduces New Better Binder

Staples Better BinderFramingham, Massachussets based office supply retailer Staples has introduced an innovative new Private Brand Staples Better Binder with removable FileRings. The Staples Better Binder with removable FileRings is the first binder to offer file rings that detach from the shell for easy filing.

To archive binder files, simply detach the FileRings from the reinforced Better Binder shell with an effortless slide, while keeping papers and files organized the same way as in the binder. Label and hang in any standard filing cabinet or box. Reuse the Better Binder shell by adding a new set of FileRings.

According to David D’Angelo, senior vice president, Staples brands “The new Better Binder with removable FileRings is a perfect example of an innovative twist to make one of our products even more useful and effective.”

The 1-inch Better Binder with removable FileRings is now available in black, white, red, green, and blue covers exclusively on Staples.com (Staples Better Binder: $12.99 and removable FileRings: $4.99).

Guaranteed for life, the Better Binders’ poly-covered shell is made with a durable, flexible spine to withstand heavy use, allowing it to be reused over and over. The shell also includes interior pockets for extra storage. The easy-open D rings require just the touch of a finger to open, and they hold up to 25 percent more than standard rings.

Christopher Durham

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan).

Durham has published five definitive books on private brands, including his first book, Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project. In 2017, he will debut his newest book, Vanguard: Vintage Originals, a visual tour of innovation and disruption in private brand going back to the mid-1800’s.
