Weis Markets Gives Away Free Private Brand Groceries

Camp Hill, PA based grocer Weis Markets store teams are currently giving away 2,500 bags of free Private Brand groceries and a coupon in the neighborhoods near its Camp Hill store on Lowther Road where it will hold a Grand Re-Opening celebration on Sunday, August 28. The combined value of the giveaway is $83,000.

“We’re in the mood to celebrate our Camp Hill Grand Re-Opening and decided to get a head start,” said Weis Markets Spokesman Dennis Curtin. “Over the next week, our teams will be delivering 2500 bags of free groceries containing 15 of our best store brand products along with a high value coupon with a combined value of $33 to the neighborhoods near our store. These products are perfect for Labor Day cookout.”

The free groceries come in a Weis Reusable bag and contains Weis Quality Low Fat Cinnamon Grahams, Weis Quality Marshmallows, Weis Quality Chocolate Bar, Weis Quality EZ Squeeze Ketchup, Weis Quality Black Bean Dip, Weis Quality Cola, Weis Quality Cheese Curls, Weis Quality Spicy Brown Mustard, Weis Quality Kansas City Barbecue Sauce, Weis Quality House Italian, Weis Quality Medium Wing Sauce, Weis Quality Macaroni, Weis Quality Hamburger Rolls (8CT), Topcare Band-Aids and a coupon offering $8 off a $50 order.

Christopher Durham

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan).

Durham has published five definitive books on private brands, including his first book, Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project. In 2017, he will debut his newest book, Vanguard: Vintage Originals, a visual tour of innovation and disruption in private brand going back to the mid-1800’s.
