Private Label Trade Show Japan 2012

The  “Private Label Trade Show Japan 2012” organized by the Japan Management Association will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight conference center, Tokyo, Japan from June 20-22, 2012. The organizers expect more than 150 exhibiting companies with in excess of 200 booths.

This show is the exclusive Private Label Trade Show in Japan, inviting over 6,000 key buyers from leading Japanese companies, who are looking for overseas business partners to produce and co-develop Private Brand and national brand food and non-food products.

The Japanese Private Brand business has been rapidly and drastically expanding recently and it is predicted that the market will grow up to 30% by 2020. To meet Japanese consumers’ demand for unique and high quality products at reasonable prices, retailers, wholesalers and manufactures are looking into increase their Private Brand products and eager to find overseas business partners.

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan).
