Win $500 in the Food Lion Store Brands Holiday Bake Off

This holiday season Salisbury, NC based grocer Food Lion is taking the opportunity to engage its customers with the Food Lion Store Brands Holiday Bake Off. Where customers can enter for a chance to win $500. The Bake Off is a classic recipe competition repurposed as a social media promotion and brought to life on Food Lion’s Facebook page.

Between November 16 – December 14 customers can enter their using ingredients from Food Lion’s Family of Private Brand products including: Food Lion Brand, Natures Place, My Essentials, Taste of Inspirations and Butchers Brand Beef favorite recipe in one of four categories including: cookies, pies, cakes & breads and appetizers! Nine Winners!

Customers may vote for their favorite recipes on the Food Lion Facebook page, in addition to the eight winners the recipe that receives the most fan votes will also win a $500 Food Lion gift card.

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan). Durham has published five definitive books on private brands, including his first book, Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project.
