Akron Moms Love Giant Eagle Private Brand

Social media and “Mommy Bloggers” continue to embrace, discuss and debate Private Brand, this time with a very lengthy post including many pictures on the Akron, Ohio Moms site from Cindy the founder and top Akron Ohio Moms Blogger. Cindy, is an active stay-at-home mom of two kids ages 4 & 6.

Her bio reads:

My name is Cindy, I am an active stay-at-home mom of two kids ages 4 & 6.  I am the lead author and developer of this blog.  I married my husband Matt in 1998, after dating 4 years through college.   My role in our family takes many forms: wife, mommy, chef, entertainer, referee, home remodel designer & worker, and taxi driver.  I have a degree in Marketing from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University and have been trained to write in the style of About.com.  We live in a wooded area in the center of the Northeast Ohio Cleveland-Akron Corridor.

Unlike many of the sponsored posts that have begun to pervade these blogs according to the author:

This was not a paid post. My own opinions were used based on my perceptions and experience. Thank you to Giant Eagle who provided the products for review and giveaway.

Are Store Brand Foods Good? My Giant Eagle Brand Review & $40 Giveaway

Do you buy store-brand groceries? Are you afraid they won’t taste as good as the national brands? Giant Eagle store brand products are offered at significantly lower prices compared to national brands. There are more than 5,000 products offered across the store from the produce section to the diary section and everything in between with the Giant Eagle name on them.

So, how can Giant Eagle brands cost so much less than national brands? Because you are not paying for the advertising big-name brands spend. I have found that Giant Eagle brand products taste the same or even better than the national brands. It doesn’t hurt to try the Giant Eagle brand products, if you don’t like something, Giant Eagle will Double Your Money Back! Amazing, right? If you spend $100 in groceries a week (and who doesn’t with a family!), you could save an average of $10 a week, just by buying Giant Eagle brand products. This adds up to $520 a year!

My Giant Eagle Brand Shopping Trip

When given the opportunity to review some Giant Eagle brand products, I was all over it. I already shop Giant Eagle, earn both fuel rewards & food perks, and buy Giant Eagle brand products.  I was able to get a good selection of products that my family could try for breakfast, dinner, and snacks.
