Marks & Spencer Debuts Private Brand Hard Ciders

British retail major Marks & Spencer has launched two new Private Brand flavored hard ciders.

The newly launched ciders are: M&S Herefordshire Cider with Blackcurrant Juice; and M&S Cheshire Chocolate Porter.

  • M&S Herefordshire Cider with Blackcurrant Juice is made from bittersweet Herefordshire cider apples complemented by the juice of ‘Pixley Black’ blackcurrants, also from Herefordshire.
  • M&S Cheshire Chocolate Porter is made from chocolate malt, natural chocolate essence and Madagascan vanilla bean extract.

Marks & Spencer has used traditional brewing methods for both ciders that are based on a blend of two recipes (dating back to 1899 and 2002) induced with a chocolate hit at the beer conditioning stage.
