Trade magazine PLBuyer this year is launching an all-new awards program for Private Brand products, the PLBuyer Design Excellence Awards. Winners will be recognized in 13 food and nonfood categories as well as in various product tiers.
The PLBuyer Design Excellence Awards will consist of 13 different product categories: six food and seven non-food categories in which you may enter your package design. The categories are:
- Frozen food
- Refrigerated food
- On-shelf products
- Ethnic products
- Organic products
Each of the food categories will be judged in three tiers; please specify which tier your entry should be placed in when entering:
- National Brand Equivalent
Each entrant will designate which tier and category they are nominating their product for.
The seven non-food categories are:
- Health & Personal Care
- Beauty & Cosmetics
- Household Good and Supplies
- OTC Medications
- Paper Products
- Baby Care
- Pet Food/care/supplies
There will also be a special category for Eco-Friendly package design.
A distinguished panel of industry designers has been assembled to judge entries. The panel will be co-chaired by PLBuyer Editorial Director John N. Frank and Patrick Rodmell, CEO of Watt International. Other judges are:
