This weeks circular from the Grand Rapids, Michigan based regional superstore chain Meijer heavily promotes its Private Brands. The circular headline proclaims: “Not just a Meijer Brand. A better brand.”
More than a dozen pages feature Meijer Private Brand products including one entire page of 10 items $10, and shoppers will recieve the 11th item free.
Some of the Meijer Private Brands included are Meijer Naturals, Meijer Organics, M produce, M deli and cheese, M meat, M Seafood, M bulk & convenience, Wave Zone, Falls Creek, M bakery, Meijer Main Choice for pets, Katie Brown Patio Furniture and Meijer Baby diapers.

He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan). Durham has published five definitive books on private brands, including his first book, Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project.
