H-E-B Private Brand Texas Showdown

San Antonio-based grocer H-E-B is once again celebrating its Texas heritage with the two-week Tex Fest honoring Texas Independence Day, the festivities will include Private Brand promotional event aptly named the H-E-B Texas Showdown Challenge. Each week in March a H-E-B Private Brand product will be pitted against a national brand product. Shoppers are invited to taste-test the products and decide which one comes out on top.

Shoppers may provide feedback on the H-E-B website. Each week a customer submits feedback, he or she will be entered to win prizes such as $4,000 cash, airline gift cards and H-E-B gift cards. No purchase is required for entry, and winners will be selected at random.

Through March 8, the showdown pits Keebler Chips Deluxe cookies against H-E-B Chips Galore! cookies. Customers who purchase Keebler cookies will receive the equivalent H-E-B Private Brand cookies for free.

“We’re celebrating all things Texan at our H-E-B Tex Fest,” said a spokesperson. “Join us and enjoy delicious samples of Texas products.  Look for our specially marked tags throughout the store too. H-E-B Tex Fest.  It’s an event that’s as big as the Lone Star State.”

For the upcoming Tex Fest promotion, in conjunction with the celebration of the 175th anniversary of the State of Texas, H-E-B has invited selected “Texas” suppliers to make “Special Guest” appearances in H-E-B stores to showcase their products.  H-E-B believes that quality products produced by “Texas” suppliers are a source of pride for its vendors and the communities they serve, and are committed to feature the “best” that Texas has to offer to its customers.
