Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the system development of the company brand product for marketing, business planning, and strategic integration within the Category

Management department, inclusive of managing the assortment, sales, markdowns, margins, net profit and inventory of the company brand product. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and applicable laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Provide strategic direction, processes and information for the purpose of increasing category sales and profit for the company brand products
  • Evaluate and implement new business processes for the purpose of establishing competitive differentiation
  • Interact with supplier community for product assortment selection and development
  • Manage the company brand advertising to include assortment, product mix, sales and gross margins
  • Design and implement decision-making tools that utilize internal and external business and consumer data
  • Develop assortment plans by product group and develop off-shelf promotions
  • Create and manage the company brand sales plans by reviewing actual weekly, monthly and quarterly sales results
  • Develop and implement the company brand product line business strategies
  • Participate in supplier trade shows, conferences, and supplier advisory board meetings

  • Minimum age of 18 years old due to Education/Experience requirement and business travel
  • Ability to pass drug test

Certificates, Licenses, And/Or Registrations
This position requires a valid driver’s license for business travel.

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business or Marketing, plus a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in market analysis, merchandising concepts, consumer data, and category management
