The Fresh Market Private Brand Coffee Contest

Greensboro, North Carolina based premium grocer The Fresh Market is inviting customers to name its new Private Brand coffee. The retailer has promoted the contest on their Facebook page as well as their website.

According to the Fresh Market website:

We need your help to name one of our upcoming (Private Brand) The Fresh Market Dessert Coffees with a Chocolate Chipotle flavor profile.

Rules for naming:

  • convey some part of the flavor profile
  • play off a song title
  • names must be received by February 21, 2011 at 11:59am EST to be considered

The winner of the 6-month Taste of Temptation Coffee Club will be notified by email or phone.

Contest ends: February 21, 2011 at 11:59 am EST.

Prize Details
If we pick YOUR name, we’ll sign you up to receive 6 months of our Tastes of Temptation Coffee Club ($160 Value). You’ll also be featured on our website and in Inspirations, our monthly in-store magazine. If more than one person contributes the same name, we’ll do a random drawing for the prize and notify all finalists.

Christopher Durham
Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan). Durham has published five definitive books on private brands, including his first book, Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project. In 2017, he will debut his newest book, Vanguard: Vintage Originals, a visual tour of innovation and disruption in private brand going back to the mid-1800’s. Dynamic in his presentation while down to earth and frank in his opinions, he has presented at numerous conferences, including FUSE, The Dieline Conference, Packaging that Sells, Omnishopper and PLMA’a annual trade show in Chicago. Durham lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Laraine, and two daughters, Olivia and Sarah.
