Ahold Launches Private Brand Instant Combo Savings

Private Brand promotions are constantly evolving and part of that evolution is the ability of retailers to partner with national brands to benefit both the national brand and the private brand. This past week Ahold-US siblings Giant Carlisle and Martins launched a new program called Instant Combo Savings, Stop & Shop and Giant Landover followed suit this week.

The promotion was created by the marketing services company ICS and can be delivered across multiple channels including: grocery, mass and drug. The program includes 9 – 12 free offers per program with savings delivered instantly at checkout and is supported by support in the weekly circular, a full-page FSI and in store merchandising/displays.

This program is growing and in early 2011 will include Ahold, Rite-Aid, Hy-Vee, Save Mart, Harris- Teeter, Roundy’s and Pathmark.
