Private Brand Beer from Kum & Go

West Des Moines, Iowa based convenience retailer Kum & Go today announced the launched a new Private Brand beer. Kevin W. Krause, senior vice president of marketing at Kum & Go, announced the addition of Hiland beer to its portfolio of Private Brand products.

Hiland beer is now available in more than 280 Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri stores.

According to Krause, Hiland beer is an exceptionally high-quality product at a very reasonable price.  In addition, Kum & Go offers four varieties of Hiland beer: Ice, Light, Lager and Reserve.

“Kum & Go listens carefully to our customers and works hard to meet their evolving needs.  For instance, we know our customers continually seek high quality products at a great price.  That’s one reason why we’re excited to add Hiland beer to our growing family of Hiland products.  It reaffirms our company’s unwavering commitment to our customers,” explained Krause.

Hiland beer is made with the Midwestern customer in mind.  It is brewed with traditional high quality ingredients from America’s heartland and contains no preservatives.
This month, customers will be able to experience Hiland beer in select stores.  In fact, Melissa Billman, director of private label development for Kum & Go, believes people will become big fans of this new beer after attending these special tastings.

“During October, we’re hosting Hiland beer tastings in select Kum & Go stores. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our customers to experience this American-made beer and truly enjoy the great flavors of the Midwest,” stated Billman.

Hiland beer varieties (Ice, Light and Lager) are available at $6.99 for a 12-pack.  As an added value for customers, Hiland Light is offered in a 20-pack for $9.99. It’s important to point out that Hiland Light is only 97 calories per serving. The Hiland Reserve (Malt Liquor) beer is available in a 24-ounce single serve can.
Kum & Go offers a variety of Private Brand products under the rapidly growing Hiland brand.  In the past 18 months, 10 Private Brands have been added to Kum & Go stores.
