Lord & Taylor is looking for an experienced Merchandise Manager for its Women’s Private Label Brand.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and assortment of Lord & Taylor and Cashmere brand from initial concept through bulk production. This person will partner with Merchants to identify business needs and clearly communicate to Design team.

Additional Responsibilities of this position will be to:

  • Work with Buyers to determine line plan and style needs for the Lord & Taylor and Cashmere brands
  • Strategize to come up with key item growth opportunities to grow the business
  • Partner with production for costing to achieve target markups
  • Work with Design to implement line plan
  • Create showroom sample/advertising sample request charts. Track samples from overseas
  • Work with Buyers to determine line plan and style needs for the Lord & Taylor and Cashmere brands
  • Strategize to come up with key item growth opportunities to grow the business
  • Partner with production for costing to achieve target markups
  • Work with Design to implement line plan
  • Create showroom sample/advertising sample request charts. Track samples from overseas
  • Adoption/SKU Counts
  • Create Line Sheets and updates via line list memos
  • Coordinate with DC seasonally to ensure timely delivery of markdown sticker
  • Act as a liaison between Design, Production and tech teams regarding bulk issues and communicate delivery delays to buyers
  • Adherence to the time and action calendar (milestone meetings, deadlines, etc )
  • Analyze selling and communicate to the Design team on a weekly basis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-4 years experience in Merchandising
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be organized and possess strong follow-up skills
  • Proactive, self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task and work on different seasons/lines at once

Durham lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Laraine, and two daughters, Olivia and Sarah.
