Private Brand Takes A Gourmet Minute.

Canadian retailer Sobeys has launched a new Private Brand ready-to-eat line called Gourmet Minute. The brand will include: sandwiches, salads and ready-to-heat prepared entrees, all of the products are prepared daily in store from fresh ingredients and home style recipes.

In a nice nod to consumer testing and listening to the voice and the taste of the customer every Gourmet Minute product is approved by a panel established to test Sobey’s Compliments Private Brand products.

Christopher Durham
Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan).
