Archer Farms Takes a Starring Role.

In what seems to be a monthly occurrence Target once again features one of its Private Brands in its weekly flyer. This time the premium food Private Brand Archer Farms is front and center with a starring role on the front cover. The ad features a number of Archer Farms products including the award-winning cereal boxes all at 15% off. Brand building is often about commitment and consistency and Target seems to be willing to use both to build their Private Brands.

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan).
