The Private Label Manufacturers Association’s (PLMA) 31st Annual Meeting & Leadership Conference will be held March 25-28 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida. The theme of this year’s conference will be The event will examine the private label industry candidly assess what it is doing right and doing wrong.

This year’s program will identify sales and marketing practices that help retailers and manufacturers take advantage of the growth in Private Brands. Speakers include David Skarie, president and co-CEO of Ralcorp Holdings; Don McGeorge, former president and chief operating officer for the Kroger Co.; Jonathan Feeney, analyst for Janney Montgomery Scott; and Tod Marks, senior project editor, Consumer Reports.

Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement. He has consulted with retailers around the world on their private brand portfolios including: Family Dollar, Petco, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Metro (Canada), TLW (Taiwan) and Hola (Taiwan). Durham has published five definitive books on private brands, including his first book, Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project.
