Walmart’s Private Brand Chef? Dave Leiberman.

Walmart continues to place increased emphasis on the redesigned Great Value. The Private Brand is now featured rather extensively on walmart.com. The site includes branded recipe videos hosted by chef Dave Leiberman of the Food Network Show Good Deal. The videos are well produced and the investment required for this effort is perhaps foreshadowing of marketing and advertising plans to come.

Christopher Durham
Christopher Durham is the president of My Private Brand and the co-founder of The Vertex Awards. He is a strategist, author, consultant and retailer who built brands at Delhaize-owned Food Lion, and lead strategy and brand development for Lowe’s Home Improvement.
